iClone 6 Showcase & Demoreel using old and new projects to test the new engine.

iClonewiki AML Script Resource

I have had the pleasure of working with the fine folks at Reallusion to post a wiki (http://www.iclonewiki.com/) of AML Dramascript (Actionscript Markup Language) used to animate the characters and iProp in the new 3.0 Version of iClone Studio.

I particulary want to thank Ivy Hsu and Charles Chen for providing the initial documents, projects, scripts and command matrixs for the wiki. And of course... Jason Lin for keeping me on track with the project while providing help and links to what I needed. The Wiki contains downloadable iProjects, online tutorials, AML example scripts and other resources.

The wiki is open for anyone to use, edit or add to. All you have to do is create a user account at the wiki and you will be able to help the entire iClone community learn the usage of this great scripting language.

The AML Dramascript is not an advanced or difficult language and it is built upon XML and easily edited by Windows Notepad but I would recommend an XML editor likethe free  XMLNotepad 2007 from Microsoft. Look at this article here for more info on Notepad versus XMLNotepad 2007. Screenshots of both editors are provided in the linked article.

The Wiki is not hard to use and does allow some HTML tags but not all. Wiki markup is different from HTML but the great thing about a wiki is the ability to preview your work before you post or change it and the ability to undo or rollback the page you are editing to the previous version online before you edited it. The wiki is powered by MediaWiki... the same software that powers Wikipedia.
