Site Overhaul

Welcome to our retooled website. It was the original intention of this website to provide basic to intermediate iClone tutorials. Schedule changes and free time just did not allow this to happen.  It will now be the focus of this website to provide quality content for iClone along with specific examples of methods and techniques of using iClone for animation, graphics art and storyboarding. 

More than anything it will be a place for me to distribute iClone props and assets that are created and used in my various personal and commercial projects. 

We will also focus on using other tools with iClone such as:

Using 2D Renders to Enchance a Scene and Provide Visual Impact

This filmmaker loves Vue and looks for ways to implement it every chance he gets as it makes for some really great scenes. In this case a futuristic city was laid out with greebles and a few models to mimic a large city along with a brownish, moderaterly heavy atmosphere. This was then rendered out of Vue in a high resolution image to be used as a 2D background.

After importing the background (set the render dimensions to match the background image) set several particle "smoke" effects in place over the tops of some of the smokestacks in the 2d image. Remember we can work from any camera angle to create the scene but we must film from the original angle in which you set up the scene as the 2D background will not move.

These types of shots are usually good for 10 to 20 seconds and when done properly can add a lot of visual impact to your animation.
